Let's see, where do I begin ? I was born on October 15, 1960 on one of the Islands of the Azores (check that one out in your atlas). My dad came to Canada, by himself, and got a job and saved some money , then 2 years later we (my mom, brother and I) came to Canada (Toronto),I was 7 years old then. This was the best thing that my dad ever did for us !! I lived in Toronto from 1967 to 1992, I thought that I would be a Toronto boy all of my life but I moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1992 and I'm still here. It's a great city and the people are very friendly.

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS: You might have already guessed from my page that I love photography. I've been doing photography as a hobby since I was about 14. I think it's the worlds greatest hobby because I believe that it makes you look at life a little more differently, examine it a little closer and not take everything for granted. I also love to travel !! I've been to Portugal, Egypt, Tanzania, Peru, India, Nepal, China, Morocco, London(England), Paris, across Canada & U.S.A. .I just got back from Vietnam. I'm starting to plan for my next trip. I'm not sure where I am going to go yet, but you can bet that I will have a blast. I guess one of the things that I love so much about these two interest is that I get to meet lots of people. I love meeting and getting to know people. From my travels I've made some great friends that I still keep in touch with regularly. My latest hobby is also people related, "The Internet" !! I love meeting and chatting with people, and finding out as much about computers as possible. Right now I'm having a great time trying to put my homepage together and learning about html's. I didn't have a clue about any of this stuff but it's great fun learning it !! Oh, one more thing that I'm not sure if it comes under hobbies or interests but I love listening to loud music while driving fast :)) I love playing ice hockey, baseball and just about any other sport. I have more energy then I know what to do with :)

WHAT DO I DO ?: Most of my life I have worked in warehouses or factories (shipping and receiving) but when I moved to Winnipeg I decided to give this "wedding photography" thing a try. The last thing that I ever wanted to do was wedding photography, it just seemed like a geeky thing to do, so I told my self that if I was going to do it, it would be my way and I would have to have fun with it. So in my first year I didn't have much in the way of display material, just some friends and family members who's weddings I had done. To fill the rest of my sample album, I put my travel pictures in it. In my first year I did 5 weddings and I was very happy with that. Then the next year I did 12, then17, then 31 and in 1999-50 weddings, 2000-60 weddings and I have 50 weddings booked for 2001 so far. I love the challenge of coming up with something different and fun for every wedding. I am constantly worried about the weather and always coming up with back-up plans. I have never had a wedding that was ruined by bad weather yet. My biggest fear when I do A wedding is that the couple wont like the pictures. It hasn't happened yet but I know that it would hurt me to hear that so I try real hard for that not to happen. But most of the time I have a fantastic time photographing the wedding and tell myself "what a great job I have". Since I love meeting and talking to people, this is the perfect job, not to mention my love for photography to start with.
